SMÖRG AND JAVIER MACÍAS TARGET GT4 AM TITLES

Smörg and Javier Macías will return to competition in the 2025 Iberian Supercars season, with their sights firmly set on the title. The duo will be behind the wheel of a BMW M4 GT4 EVO run by Promotion Motorsport.

The countdown has begun for the Spanish pairing as they prepare to line up on the grid of the Iberian Supercars series, the most competitive and well-attended circuit racing championship in Southern Europe. They will once again compete in a series that has seen them stand on the GT4 AM division podium multiple times and continues to deliver thrilling action, drawing thousands of fans to each circuit and enjoying excellent broadcast coverage via DAZN and YouTube.

As in previous years, they will rely on the proven performance of BMW M Motorsport machinery, competing with an M4 GT4 EVO similar to last season's car but upgraded with the latest improvements from BMW’s German engineers. Technical support will once again be handled by Promotion Motorsport.

The season will kick off at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (5-6 April), followed by the first Spanish round at Jarama (30 May-1 June). After the summer break, the competition resumes in Cheste, Valencia (13-14 September), with the next round in Jerez (1-2 November). The Autódromo do Estoril (29-30 November) will host the grand finale, with the championship visiting some of the most prestigious circuits in the Iberian Peninsula.

“We approach this new season with a BMW M4 GT4 featuring the latest 2025 upgrades from the manufacturer. We hope that the Balance of Performance (BoP), designed to equalise performance across cars, won’t penalise us as much as last year. A few weeks ago, we completed a test in Portimão with very positive results, and we believe we are in a strong position to fight for the championship. Additionally, we have brought in a new engineer who can give us an extra edge in fine-tuning the car,” explained the Spain-born, Andorra-based driver. He also expressed gratitude for “the unwavering support of our sponsors, who make this project possible. In particular, we welcome Grandvalira, a benchmark in Andorran tourism. We are thrilled to have Grandvalira, CREAND, and Caldea - key economic pillars of Andorra - on board, and we will do everything we can to bring them to the podium, where they rightfully belong. The 2025 season promises to be an exciting challenge, and we will give it our all to achieve our goals.”

Engines will roar to life on 22 March, with the official pre-season test set for Autódromo do Estoril, two weeks before the season opener.
