Chefo Sport will expand its Iberian Supercars entry at Valencia by running a second Ligier JS2 R. Pere Marques has been confirmed in one car, with his team-mate to be announced shortly.

The Spanish squad already fields a Ligier for Ángel Santos and Alejandro Iribas, winners of both GTX division races at Jarama, underlining the team’s growing presence in the series after the summer break.

Marques rejoins the outfit he represented in 2024, once again at the wheel of the French-built JS2 R. At Ricardo Tormo last year, he partnered Mikkel Kristensen to a double victory, proving the competitiveness of the package.

Explaining his return, Marques said: “I am returning to the championship because it is currently the one with the most entries in the Iberian Peninsula and it presents a very high level. I believe we can be very competitive and enjoy some good battles on track”.

Looking ahead to Valencia, he added: “My objective is to repeat what we did last year, when we won both races, but this time without mechanical failures during Friday and Saturday practice”.

The Valencia round takes place at Circuit Ricardo Tormo from 13-15 September, with live coverage on DAZN Portugal and DAZN Spain, and streaming on Race Ready’s social media. Fans will also enjoy free access to the paddock throughout the weekend.
