Daniel Casas makes his debut in the BMW M2 Cup Iberia with Promotion Motorsport

The Valencia round of Supercars Endurance, held at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, marks Daniel Casas’s debut in the BMW M2 Cup Iberia, joining Promotion Motorsport for what will be his first competitive outing at the wheel of the BMW M2 Racing.

The Madrid‑based team, responsible for preparing BMW Motorsport España’s BMW M4 GT4 Evo in Supercars Endurance, as well as the car driven by Smörg and Javier Macias, now brings to the track the brand‑new BMW M2 Racing assigned to the young Spanish driver. His arrival reinforces the growth of the BMW M2 Cup Iberia, which is experiencing a phase of expansion after the constraints in car availability felt during the first half of the season.

The BMW M2 Cup Iberia grid now features four BMW M2 Racing cars: the LOB Motorsport entry driven by Kika Queiroz, and two FPAK Junior Team cars, with Nathan Corbert and Diego Sirgado in one, and Gonçalo Moura and Bernardo Passanha in the other — all young drivers eager to showcase their talent.

Daniel Casas is highly motivated for this new challenge, emphasising the importance of this step in his career and the ambition with which he approaches his debut: “This opportunity comes thanks to Daniel (González) and his team, Promotion Motorsport, and I didn’t want to miss the chance to be at the wheel of the BMW M2 Racing this weekend in Valencia. It’s an incredible challenge that I didn’t hesitate to accept as soon as it was proposed to me. Regarding the BMW M2 Cup Iberia and Supercars Endurance, I believe that, right now, they are the best showcase in the Iberian Peninsula.”

Without the prior knowledge of the BMW that his rivals already possess, Daniel Casas acknowledges that he will need a period of adaptation, but he is committed to progressing. “The main objective is to adapt to the car as quickly as possible. Valencia is a circuit I know well, so the goal is to move step by step and try to do the best I can,” he concluded.

With Daniel Casas’s arrival, the BMW M2 Cup Iberia strengthens both its competitiveness and its numbers, increasingly establishing itself as one of the most relevant development platforms in the Iberian Peninsula. The Valencia round promises to be the stage for another intense battle among promising young talents.

The two BMW M2 Cup Iberia races, integrated into the GTC and Touring Car grid, will take place on Saturday and Sunday, with live coverage on DAZN Portugal and DAZN Spain.
