The second round of the 2026 Supercars Endurance season will take place from 5 to 7 June at the Circuito de Madrid Jarama–RACE, bringing together a twenty-one-car GTC and Touring Car grid competing exclusively for the Campeonato de España de Supercars. The quality of the field is expected to guarantee particularly intense and exciting racing around the historic Madrid circuit.

Part of the programme of the acclaimed Jarama Classic, one of the most popular motorsport events on the Iberian Peninsula, the Madrid meeting will be held in front of tens of thousands of spectators, in a unique atmosphere that combines a passion for motorsport with a celebration of automotive history and culture.

The opening round at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão delivered excitement on many fronts, from Daniel Teixeira’s dominant performances aboard the JT59 Racing Team Hyundai Elantra N TCR, which secured overall victory in both races, to the wheel-to-wheel battles between the Porsche 911 Cups in the Cup division and the uncertainty that characterised GTX and GTX Am. The weekend also featured the historic debut of the BMW M2 Racing on Iberian circuits.

Jarama is expected to provide more of the same, with standout performances and thrilling battles right to the chequered flag, this time on a circuit that has hosted Formula 1, MotoGP and FIA Formula E, where mistakes are rarely forgiven and often come at a high price.

GTX – Uncertainty Is the Name of the Game

GTX is the largest division on the grid and boasts an exceptionally competitive field. António Almeida and Aubrey Hall, once again sharing the Tockwith Motorsports Ginetta G55, arrive in Madrid as winners of the second race at Portimão, but they will have to fend off a large group of challengers.

Race 1 winners Máximo Varela and Gabriel Caçoilo will be joined by Ángel Santos and Alejandro Iribas, as well as Alba Vásquez, who this time will share her Ligier JS2 R with debutant Miguel Iacovacci, forming a trio of competitive Chefo Sport Ligiers.

Young Lebanese driver Stephanie Hobeika, sharing the TRS Racing Team McLaren 570S GT4 with Ivo Prada, and the Gianfranco Motorsport pairing of Bruno Salgado and Rodrigo Pires, aboard a Porsche Cayman CS, will continue their development in their debut season.

The major addition to the division is Breakell Racing. The British team joins the grid with a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport for the Iberian pairing of Álvaro Fontes and Miguel Gaspar, both returning to the championship and further strengthening the quality of the category.

GTX Am – Breno Arruda Under the Spotlight

Breno Arruda, at the wheel of the second TRS Racing McLaren 570S GT4, arrives as the dominant force in the division after claiming victory in both Portimão races. This time, however, the Brazilian driver will share the car with debutant Bruno Martins.

The opposition remains determined. Steve Kirton and Jonathan Elsworth hope to have resolved the issues that affected their Tockwith Motorsports Ginetta G55, while Luca Fothergill and Nicole Drought, in the Protech Motorsport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport, demonstrated in the Algarve that they have the pace to fight for podium finishes.

Cup – Everything Still to Play For

The Cup division remains one of the most competitive categories in the championship, with Porsche 911 Cups filling the grid.

Victories were shared in Portimão. Marcus Fothergill and Dave Benett of Protech Motorsport won the opening race, while reigning champion Rui Miritta, representing Monteiros Competições, triumphed in the second, confirming his credentials as a title contender once again.

The list of challengers is extensive. Pedro Raposo and Craig Davies of Protech Motorsport, Ángel Lanchares and Ramiro García-Pumarino of Lan GP Racing, each driving their own Porsche on home soil, and Vítor Costa of Monteiros Competições will all be aiming to challenge for victory.

TC+ – Daniel Teixeira Finds a Rival

Daniel Teixeira arrives in Madrid aboard the JT59 Racing Team Hyundai Elantra N TCR as the double winner from Portimão and the clear benchmark in the category after a dominant opening weekend.

However, the division now welcomes a new contender. André Ferreira will make his debut in a LOB Motorsport Kia Ceed TCR, a rare machine returning to the grid and one that is expected to provide a genuine challenge to the Hyundai.

M2 – The Grid Expands

The M2 division triples in size for Jarama. Francisca “Kika” Queiroz, driving the LOB Motorsport BMW M2 Racing and responsible for the historic debut of the model that will form the basis of the BMW M2 Cup Iberia, will no longer be alone on track.

Joining her will be the two FPAK Junior Team BMW M2 Racing cars, operated by Befast Motorsport, making their competitive debut at Jarama with the four young talents selected by the Portuguese Automobile and Karting Federation. Bernardo Passanha and Nathan Corbet will share one car, while Gonçalo Moura and Diego Sirgado will drive the other.

This represents a significant moment for the FPAK development programme, which has adopted the new BMW M2 Racing — producing 313 horsepower, capable of 270 km/h, and featuring technology derived from the Bavarian manufacturer’s GT3 platform — as a stepping stone for young drivers progressing towards touring car racing.

The M2 division therefore takes on a new competitive dimension, one that promises to continue growing throughout the season.

There are, therefore, plenty of reasons to follow next weekend’s races at the Circuito de Madrid Jarama–RACE, which will host another exciting chapter of Supercars Endurance on 6 and 7 June.

As always, the races will be broadcast live on DAZN Portugal and DAZN Spain, as well as on the official Race Ready YouTube channel with commentary in both Spanish and English. Additional international coverage will be provided by Motorsport TV Deutschland in Germany, Parc Fermé in Italy, and Braking Zone TV in Brazil.
