Speedy Motorsport yesterday unveiled its 2026 Supercars Endurance campaign, fielding a lineup that once again blends youth and experience, aiming to maintain the competitiveness and success of recent years.

The 2025 season was remarkable for the Maia-based outfit. In a year of intense competition, Speedy Motorsport secured team titles in the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade, Iberian Supercars, and Supercars España. Alongside these collective successes, the team also celebrated individual honours, with César Machado claiming a second consecutive overall championship in the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade. Machado also took the GT4 Pro crown, while Duarte Camelo and Pompeu Simões triumphed in the GTX category in both the Iberian and Portuguese competitions.

Looking ahead to 2026, Speedy Motorsport will maintain a strong, structured presence, running multiple entries across two categories and three divisions.

In GT4, the team aims to defend César Machado’s back-to-back titles, pairing him this year with Tomás Teixeira in one of the Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2s. While Machado remains a benchmark and one of the series’ top names, Teixeira joins the championship as a new entrant, having previously competed in other single-make series with Speedy Motorsport.

In the second Japanese entry, João Aguiar Branco and Luís Tavares continue their partnership from last season. After a strong finish to 2025, they face a new competitive challenge with a new car and renewed ambition to fight for podiums and victories.

In the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS, the team continues its focus on youth with a debut pairing: Ruben Costa and Spaniard Raúl Zunzarren, two promising talents who have already shown potential in other championships. Like the other duos, they will contest the GT4 Pro division.

In the GTX division of GTC, Pompeu Simões returns to defend his title in the Porsche Cayman GT4 CS, reaffirming his status as a key figure in the category. His teammate will be announced at a later date.

Meanwhile, Andrius Zemaitis will again race solo in the Nokotech Racing by Speedy project, ensuring continuity and consistency for the team in the championship, also behind the wheel of a Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 in GT4.

“After an outstanding 2025, we’re raising the bar once again. Speedy Motorsport is synonymous with ambition and boldness, and the 2026 project perfectly embodies the team’s philosophy. We want to maintain our competitive level. We are proud of what we achieved, but we are well aware that the competition is fierce in one of Europe’s top GT4 championships. Our ambition remains, but we know it won’t be easy to repeat past successes. It is precisely that challenge that motivates us and drives us to give our best,” said Team Principal Pedro Salvador.

The 2026 Supercars Endurance season gets underway on 16–17 May at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, with the second official pre-season test scheduled for 23 April at the same circuit.
