Toyota Gazoo Racing Caetano Portugal officially launched its 2026 season, unveiling a strengthened racing programme and a bold ambition to dominate the key stages of national and Iberian motorsport.
Toyota Gazoo Racing Caetano Portugal adopts the same growth philosophy following a highly successful competitive season, marked by regular victories and clear dominance in the national and Iberian GT4 scene. With wins at virtually every circuit visited in 2025, the team secured four victories and four pole positions in the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade, three victories and five pole positions in Supercars España. These results were complemented by three victories and four pole positions in the Iberian Supercars championship, in the GT4 Pro division, where some of the best drivers from the national and Iberian competitions compete.
The brand’s official structure and the Toyota Customer Racing teams delivered one of the strongest seasons ever, achieving multiple podium finishes and establishing the GR Supra GT4 as a benchmark of the category in the Iberian Peninsula.
The entry of a second GR Supra GT4 EVO2 in the official programme therefore represents a natural step in a strategy of continuity and growth, with the clear ambition of once again fighting for titles and keeping the brand at the forefront of Iberian circuit racing. As in rallying, this programme will also serve as a launchpad for young talents.
The GT4 Pro driver pairing at the wheel of the GR Supra GT4 EVO2 will once again be Francisco Mora, joined by Rodrigo Almeida, who will be joining the Toyota team for the first time. In the GT4 Pro-Bronze team, another GR Supra wearing the colours of TGR Caetano Portugal will be driven by Francisco Abreu and José Carlos Pires, who will also be joining the team for the first time.
