ARAÚJO COMPETIÇÃO TO DEBUT NEW ASTON MARTIN ON IBERIAN CIRCUITS

Araújo Competição will debut a brand-new Aston Martin Vantage GT4 on the Iberian circuits, marking one of the most eagerly awaited additions to this year's Iberian Supercars grid.

The British marque remains committed to GT racing, unveiling new entries for both the GT3 and GT4 categories this year, drawing on insights gained from prior iterations.

The arrival of the new GT4 model heralds a significant advancement in competitiveness for teams and drivers alike, generating considerable anticipation for its inaugural track appearance.

In this context, Araújo Competição stands as the first Iberian team to take delivery of an Aston Martin Vantage GT4, eliciting enthusiasm from the team's leadership in Lisbon.

"We are proud, as few European teams will have access to the new model, the Aston Martin Vantage GT4, in 2024. Araújo Competição always seeks to provide the best conditions for its drivers, and having the new GT4 from the brand that is focused and committed to motorsport demonstrates the trust that Aston Martin Racing places in us. After the success we had last year, this reinforces our connection and responsibility to the Aston Martin brand on the Iberian Peninsula racing circuits," said Gonçalo Araújo.

Araújo Competição won the GTC category last year with Álvaro Ramos and Fernando Soares at the controls of an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4, and although he admits that the opposition will be even stronger this year, the team manager of the Lisbon-based team emphasizes the determination of the entire structure to arrive at the start of the season with a thorough understanding of their new machine.

"The team is eager to receive and start working with the new model. We want to learn and evolve as quickly as possible. We're sure that the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 will be one of the fastest and most elegant cars in the competitive Iberian Supercars and Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade," said Gonçalo Araújo.

Araújo Competição has not yet revealed who will be the driver or drivers of the new Aston Martin car, which joins the McLaren 570S GT4 and the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 that the team is also planning to race this year.

The Iberian Supercars, Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade, and Supercars España seasons will begin on May 25 and 26 at the Jerez Circuit, with a test day scheduled for April 6 at the Autódromo do Estoril.
