BMW España Motorsport is set to return to the Iberian Supercars and Supercars España grid in 2026, as the official BMW Group España operation continues its commitment to top-level circuit racing on the Iberian Peninsula.
The Munich-based brand will once again field the BMW M4 GT4 Evo, this time with a refreshed driver line-up featuring Jan Durán and Eric Gené, tackling the new campaign with the same ambition for success that has defined the project since its inception.
BMW España Motorsport will extend its presence in international competition for another season and, in 2026, the official BMW Group España team will once again contest the Iberian Supercars and Supercars España, widely regarded as one of the most competitive GT4 championships in the world. The series regularly attracts thousands of spectators to each event and has established itself as a championship of major sporting and media impact.
The programme, which will visit some of the finest circuits on the Iberian Peninsula, is built on the proven foundations of the BMW M4 GT4 Evo developed by BMW M Motorsport. Internationally, the car has demonstrated its credentials as a front-running package capable of fighting for overall honours in any championship. The BMW M4 GT4 Evo will continue to showcase the strengths it has displayed since its debut, combining one-lap pace with consistent race speed – key attributes for championship success.

One of the main novelties for the upcoming season lies in the driver line-up, with the arrival of a pairing that represents a clear investment in the future, yet already boasts significant present-day potential. Jan Durán and Eric Gené will share the BMW M4 GT4 Evo, forming one of the youngest average-age driver combinations in the entire field, blending youth, talent and ambition. Both drivers belong to a new generation poised to write the next chapters of Spanish motorsport.
In just a couple of seasons, Durán has already built an impressive résumé, having claimed the overall Iberian Supercars title in 2024, while also securing both the Spanish and Portuguese championship classifications. In 2025, he stepped up to the GT4 European Series, immediately making his mark with a runner-up finish in the standings and earning the Rookie of the Year award.
Gené comes from one of Spain’s most storied motorsport families. His uncle Marc achieved his best Formula 1 result with Williams-BMW, while his father Jordi also boasts a long and successful career in GT and touring car racing. The youngest member of the Gené dynasty proved he shares the same competitive DNA by finishing runner-up in the TCR Spain championship and third overall in the European series last season.
The 2026 season will get under way at the Algarve International Circuit (15–17 May), with a meeting counting towards both the Iberian Supercars and Supercars España championships. Early summer will see the series visit Circuito del Jarama (5–7 June), an event valid exclusively for Supercars España. Following the summer break, competition resumes at Circuit Ricardo Tormo (25–27 September) ahead of the decisive phase of the season. The Circuito de Jerez Ángel Nieto (6–8 November) will begin to shape the title battle, before the season finale at Estoril (4–6 December).
