The BMW M2 Cup Iberia will award a total of €25,000 in prize money throughout the 2026 season, further strengthening its role as both a competitive and development platform within the Supercars Endurance series.
The one-make series will form part of the Touring Car field. This year’s sporting context gains additional significance following the separation of the races from the GT4 category, creating a distinct competitive environment for the touring-car contingent.
Organised within the Supercars Endurance structure which includes Iberian Supercars, Campeonato de España de Supercars and the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade, the BMW M2 Cup Iberia is the result of a partnership between Race Ready and BMW Iberia. The trophy uses the BMW M2 Racing, a car developed by BMW M Motorsport specifically for customer racing programmes and one-make championships, combining strong performance with a technical architecture designed for circuit competition.
Producing 313 hp and reaching a top speed of 270 km/h, the BMW M2 Racing features several technical solutions derived from BMW’s motorsport programmes. These include suspension and dampers inspired by BMW M Motorsport’s GT3 technology, as well as a braking system developed by BMW M Sport. The result is a competitive and consistent car designed to deliver close and balanced racing throughout the season.

Over the course of the championship, a total of €25,000 in prize money will be distributed among the top three finishers in each of the ten races: €1,500 for the winner, €750 for second place and €250 for third. In addition, the 2026 BMW M2 Cup Iberia champion will be awarded a test in a BMW M4 GT4 EVO.
The introduction of this trophy adds a new category to the grid and further reinforces the positioning of Supercars Endurance as a diversified platform capable of accommodating different driver profiles. For young talents coming from karting or other motorsport disciplines, the BMW M2 Cup Iberia offers a structured pathway into circuit racing in the Iberian Peninsula, and a natural step towards the GT4 category. At the same time, it also provides a competitive opportunity for gentleman drivers looking to compete in a one-make championship within a professional and highly competitive environment.
“It is a great source of pride for Race Ready to have reached this agreement with BMW Iberia, which allows us, for the first time, to offer prize money to drivers, in this case in the BMW M2 Cup Iberia. It is a way to reward competitors and help support their racing season financially”, said Diogo Ferrão, CEO of Race Ready.
The BMW M2 Cup Iberia calendar features ten races across five race weekends, visiting Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Circuito de Madrid Jarama-RACE, Circuit Ricardo Tormo (Cheste), Circuito de Jerez, and concluding at the Autódromo do Estoril in early December.
The season will get underway in Portimão from 15–17 May, following the official pre-season test scheduled for 23 April at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.
