The final round of Supercars Endurance is set to transform the Autódromo do Estoril into a stage of high-stakes decisions, with the Iberian Supercars and the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade (CPV) titles still wide open across almost every division.

After an exceptionally competitive season, Estoril once again welcomes a high-level GT4 grid of Iberian and European reference, featuring Aston Martin, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche and Toyota, all preparing for two decisive races where every point could reshape the final outcome.

With fifty-four points still available – one for pole position, one for each fastest lap and twenty-five for a win – the weekend presents a scenario of considerable uncertainty. Only the GT4 Am class of the CPV appears virtually settled, with Rúben Vaquinhas and Pedro Bastos Rezende holding a clear advantage in their Gianfranco Motorsport-run Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4. In all remaining divisions the titles remain wide open, promising a thrilling end to the season.

This will also be the third weekend of the year in which the grids are split between GT4 and GTC/Touring Cars, doubling the number of Supercars Endurance races and offering spectators four high-intensity contests. Expectations are high, not only due to the sporting stakes, but also because of the calibre of the teams and the historical significance of a circuit that has traditionally played a decisive role in championship outcomes.

GT / GT4 Pro – Everything to Fight For

The fiercest battle lies within the GT championship title and GT4 Pro division, where the tight points situation makes Estoril absolutely pivotal.

In Iberian Supercars, Mathieu Martins arrives with 93 points following his GT and GT4 Pro titles in Supercars España, and is one of the weekend’s major contenders in the Racar Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4. Close behind is César Machado with 89 points; he will again share the Speedy Motorsport Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 with rising Spanish talent Adrián Ferrer, after a season marked by consistency.

The Speedy Motorsport duo of Tomás Guedes / José Carlos Pires remain in mathematical contention with 75 points, while Francisco Mora / Francisco Abreu, driving for Toyota Gazoo Racing Caetano Portugal, total 72 points and cannot be overlooked given their strong pace throughout the year.

In the GT4 Pro standings of Iberian Supercars the field is even tighter: Machado leads with 102 points, just two ahead of Mora / Abreu. Martins, paired with Henrique Ventura Oliveira, sits on 96, and Guedes / Pires remain firmly in contention with 85. With fifty-four points available, any setback or finish outside the podium could be decisive.

In the CPV, the picture is similar with slight variations. Machado leads overall with 102 points, followed by Martins on 96, Mora / Abreu on 91, and Pires on 87. In the GT4 Pro division the margins close even further: Machado (105), Mora / Abreu (104), and both Pires and Martins (each on 97) form a quartet arriving at Estoril essentially level on competitiveness – a recipe for an intense battle at the historic Portuguese venue.

GT4 Pro-Bronze – Five Contenders for One Crown

The Pro-Bronze division features the highest number of title hopefuls. Nuno Afonso / Alexandre Areia (Gianfranco Motorsport Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2) and Guillermo Aso / Filip Vava (NM Racing Team Mercedes-AMG GT4) are level on 95 points, closely followed by Bruno Pires / Mark Kastelic (Lema Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4) on 93.

Also firmly in the hunt are José Cautela / Lourenço Monteiro (McLaren Artura GT4, McLaren Barcelona – SMC Motorsport) on 87 points and Sérgio Azevedo / Orlando Batina (Batina Racing Toyota) on 83. With five crews realistically capable of becoming champions, it promises to be one of the most intense battles of the entire weekend.

In the CPV, Bruno Pires leads with 106 points, though Afonso / Areia (95), Azevedo / Batina (90) and Patrick Cunha (86), in the Veloso Motorsport Porsche Cayman RS CS GT4, all retain a mathematical chance of dethroning the Lema Racing driver – further emphasising the unpredictability of this division.

GT4 Bronze – Iberian Duel

In Iberian Supercars GT4 Bronze, Gonzalo de Andrés / Álvaro Lobera (McLaren Barcelona – SMC Motorsport McLaren Artura GT4) share the class lead with Ricardo Costa, who also holds 97 points in the NM Racing Team Mercedes-AMG GT4. Vasco Oliveira / Francisco Carvalho (Racar Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 EVO) remain in theoretical title contention with 81 points.

In the CPV, Costa holds a clear lead on 102 points, with Oliveira / Carvalho significantly further behind and with only slim mathematical chances remaining. Despite appearing more settled, this class has produced surprises before – and Estoril’s pressure-cooker atmosphere could still deliver another twist.

GT4 Am – One Clear Favourite

GT4 Am in Iberian Supercars comes down to a final duel between Rúben Vaquinhas / Pedro Bastos Rezende (135 points, Gianfranco Motorsport Aston Martin) and Smörg / Javier Macias (99 points, Promotion Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 EVO). The leaders, already crowned champions in the CPV and Supercars España, still require two composed races, as the title remains mathematically open.

Teams – Three Contenders

In the Iberian Supercars teams’ standings, Speedy Motorsport leads with 194 points, followed by Racar Motorsport on 162 and Monteiros Competições on 140 – all three still in the title fight, and Estoril capable of redrawing the final order completely.

In the CPV, Speedy Motorsport also heads into the finale in first place with 120 points, chased by Racar Motorsport (116) and Monteiros Competições (104). It will be a high-pressure weekend for all three teams, where strategic decisions may ultimately determine the championship crown.

The GTC and Touring Car races will also be taken into account in these calculations.
