MotoGP ace Miguel Oliveira to drive a Hyundai i30 N TCR in Vila Real

Portuguese MotoGP ace Miguel Oliveira will take part in the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade by Hankook round two in the streets of Vila Real on July 2/3 with a Hyundai i30 N TCR.

"For those who have adrenaline in the blood, I can not say that I will take a walk, but I will give my maximum. This invitation from Hyundai came after the cancellation of a rally in Finland. Besides being able to sharing the car with my father, I am very happy to also have a reason to be once again close to my fans and to live a different environment from my usual racing," said Miguel Oliveira, current MotoGP rider for the KTM Factory Team, in the statement issued by Hyundai Portugal.

On his first touring car experience, Miguel Oliveira will share the driving of the Hyundai i30 N TCR with his father Paulo Oliveira.

"The participation of our ambassador Miguel Oliveira at the Circuit de Vila Real, at the wheel of the Hyundai i30 N TCR, fills us with pride and we are sure that his presence will attract many fans to the event. Since the beginning of the partnership we have always had in mind to provide Miguel Oliveira a racing experience on four wheels and we take this opportunity to achieve that goal and celebrate our relationship," said Sérgio Ribeiro, CEO of Hyundai Portugal.

The two CPV races at the Vila Real Circuit, each lasting 45 minutes and with a mandatory pit stop to change drivers, the first on Saturday afternoon and the second on Sunday, will be broadcast live on the Porto Canal.

"It is an honour to welcome Miguel to our championship, a rider with victories in MotoGP and one of the greatest Portuguese sportsmen today. This is exactly what we want for our championship, that is a platform that can be used to promote and give return to brands and projects, with live television broadcast and presence in major events," added Diogo Ferrão, CEO of Race Ready, the promoter of the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade by Hankook.
