PCR Sport, one of the most respected names in Spanish motorsport, will make its Iberian Supercars debut this season, entering a Mercedes-AMG GT4 in the GT4 Am division at the upcoming Valencia round.

The Barcelona-based team, founded in 2003 by Pep Codinach, boasts a proven track record across multiple disciplines, from TCR and GT racing to rallying.

With this new entry, PCR Sport further strengthens the GT4 Am grid – a division dedicated to Gentleman Drivers and aspiring racers who are given the opportunity to compete on some of the most iconic circuits across the Iberian Peninsula. The category blends competitive spirit with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, allowing drivers to experience racing at the highest level while fighting for meaningful results on track.

The team’s Mercedes-AMG GT4 will be shared by Gentleman Drivers Vicente Dasi and Josep Parera, who are set to add further depth and competitiveness to the starting grid.

Team Principal Pep Codinach underlined the significance of this project: “our main goal is for our drivers to enjoy the event, and we believe this championship offers the right platform to achieve that, with so many cars in the same category.”

Driver Vicente Dasi also emphasised the appeal of racing in a GT4-specific series: “owning a car of this category, competing in generic GT events where GT3 cars dominate is not ideal, as those cars are much faster and within a few laps we’re constantly checking our mirrors. The Iberian Supercars focuses exclusively on GT4, making the competition much more open. We hope to be able to fight with enough cars to make it a truly enjoyable challenge.”

Meanwhile, teammate Josep Parera set out clear objectives for his debut weekend: “the goal is to be in the midfield, battling and learning from the faster drivers as the event progresses.”

PCR Sport’s participation not only marks the arrival of one of Spain’s strongest outfits to the Iberian Supercars, but also enhances the depth of the GT4 Am class – reinforcing the growth and diversity of a championship that continues to establish itself as the benchmark platform for Gentleman Drivers in the Iberian Peninsula.

The Valencia round takes place at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo from 12–14 September, with live broadcast coverage on DAZN Portugal and DAZN Spain, as well as streaming via Race Ready’s social media channels, Alpha Live (in English), Parc Fermé TV (in Italian), and Motorsport Television Deutschland (in German). Fans will also enjoy free paddock access throughout the weekend.
