The RV7 Team will compete in the Iberian Supercars and Supercars España with Sweden’s Joel Bergström and Brazil’s Roberto Faria, who will share an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 EVO backed technically by Portuguese outfit Gianfranco Motorsport.

Joel Bergström arrives in the Iberian Supercars for his GT racing debut, following two seasons in British F4, where he showcased his pace with multiple podium finishes. The move to GT racing represents a calculated step in his development, aiming for a more demanding and formative environment.

“I chose Iberian Supercars with Aston Martin because I wanted to be in a championship with a high level of competition and cars that truly challenge the driver. That’s how you progress,” said the young Swede. He added: “I’m not just competing to participate. My goal is to fight at the front, maintain strong consistency, and prove I can adapt quickly to contend for top positions.”

On the other hand, former FIA F3 Championship and GB3 Championship driver Roberto Faria brings championship experience and competitive continuity. The Brazilian driver made his Iberian Supercars debut at the end of 2023, immediately achieving podium finishes. Since then, he has maintained a regular presence, establishing himself as one of the rising names in the series, having fought for both the GT and GT4 Pro drivers’ titles last season. For 2026, his focus is on consolidating this trajectory and capitalising on the new partnership.

“I am extremely excited about the 2026 Iberian Supercars season, driving an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 EVO for the RV7 Team with technical support from Gianfranco Motorsport. I feel highly motivated for this challenge and confident in the work we have been developing with the team and my teammate, Joel Bergström, with whom I will share the car and form a highly competitive pairing,” Faria said. “Our objective is to progress consistently throughout the season, maximise every race weekend, and fight for top positions. I am ready to give everything on track and represent all those who trust in us in the best possible way.”

Both Joel Bergström and Roberto Faria are members of the Aston Martin Racing Driver Academy, underscoring the growing importance of the Supercars Endurance series for manufacturers.

The 2026 season will kick off on 16–17 May at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal, with an official test scheduled at the same circuit on 23 April, a key moment for team preparation ahead of the campaign.
