The 2022 Iberian Supercars by Hankook series is becoming more fascinating with the addition of a third McLaren 570S GT4 to the grid by the Spanish team SMC Competición.
The Spanish duo Tommy Pintos/Guillermo Aso will join the grid for the opening round at Jarama. That's the third confirmed McLaren car, following the already confirmed 570S GT4 cars entered by Araujo Competições and to be driven by Francisco Carvalho/Miguel Cristóvão and Álvaro Ramos/Fred Block.
The two SMC Competición drivers were recently in a test session at the Valencia track before challenging the Iberian Supercars by Hankook and the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade competitors in the "Supercars en Jarama" event.
The Iberian Supercars by Hankook/Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade double header, which comprises two 45-minute races and a mandatory pit stop, will attract the interest of fans and spectators with the latest generation of GT and Touring cars, such as McLaren 570S, Audi R8 or Hyundai Elantra N or CUPRA TCR.
More entrants and cars will be revealed in the coming days.
