Elias Niskanen, who will be Manuel Gião's team mate in the Iberian Supercars by Hankook, which kicks off this weekend at Jarama. The 20-year-old Finnish driver doesn't hide his admiration for the driver from Lisbon, with whom he will share the second car of the Slovenian team Lema Racing.
"The funniest thing is that before I was even born, my team mate Manuel Gião had already celebrated his Championship titles in Formula Opel Lotus Nations Cup and Italian Superformula Golden Cup," said the Finnish youngster, shortly before making his debut at the wheel of the Mercedes AMG GT4.
"I feel privileged to be part of a team with such an iconic driver," Niskanen concluded.
Niskanen started his career in Karting and in 2020 won the Silver category of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe Series, until he put a halt his career due to the pandemic.
