Tomás Pinto Abreu to debut in the series with a Ginetta

Portuguese driver Tomás Pinto Abreu will make his debut in the Iberian Supercars Endurance this coming weekend (November 19/20) at Autódromo do Estoril, driving a Tockwith Motorsports Ginetta G50.

Pinto Abreu, whose career gained notoriety with the participation in three editions of the Production Cup (Group 1 Portugal), winning two consecutive titles in(2019 and 2020, will now compete with the Ginetta, entered in the GTC category, at a time when he seeks to structure his sports project for 2023.

"I'm looking at these two races as an experience that will help me analyze the future and decide which car to bet on, in theory for a GT championship. I had several options open for this round, but I ended up choosing the Ginetta," explained the 23 year-old driver from Cascais.

"I hope to adapt to the car as soon as possible, to then try to understand if it will be a good option in terms of the future. Of course the aim will be to go as fast as possible so that, should the opportunity arise, I can finish with a good result," he added.

Both 45-minute Iberian Supercars races will be live streaming on Saturday and Sunday.
