Supercars Endurance series is preparing to enter the 2026 season with a series of significant developments, driven by the sustained growth of the championship and the increasing interest it continues to generate not only across the Iberian Peninsula, but also throughout the wider European motorsport landscape.
The sporting strength achieved in recent seasons has created the ideal conditions for a balanced and strategic evolution of the Iberian Supercars, the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade, and Supercars España.
One of the most notable changes for 2026 will be the full separation of the GT4 and GTC/Touring Car grids. Following the successful implementation of this format in Portimão, Jerez, and Estoril during the current season, Race Ready has decided to adopt this model for all events next year. This will allow each category to have its own Friday private testing, free practice sessions, qualifying, and races.

This decision reflects the consistent growth in grid sizes and will enable drivers, teams, and spectators to enjoy a clearer understanding of the on-track battles, while also ensuring higher-quality track time. All events will follow this format; however, the application of split grids at the Circuito Internacional de Vila Real is still to be confirmed.
Regarding classes and divisions, the GT4 category will retain its current structure: GT4 Pro, GT4 Pro-Bronze, GT4 Bronze, and GT4 Am.
Within GTC, a new GTX Am division will be introduced, dedicated exclusively to amateur drivers, while the existing GTX class will remain reserved for more experienced competitors. These two divisions will feature former-homologation GT4 cars and other vehicles approved by the organiser, such as the Ligier JS2 R.

he Cup division will continue to be aimed at Gentleman Drivers, who will compete in cars originating from one-make trophies, including models such as the Porsche 911 Cup (997 or 991.1 versions) and the Ferrari 430 Challenge.
Changes are also planned for the Touring Car categories, with the introduction of a new TC+
division. This class will accommodate cars such as TCR machinery and BMW M2 vehicles from the Bavarian manufacturer’s one-make cups.
The TC class will remain unchanged, continuing to accept cars such as the Ginetta G40, Mini Cooper, Renault Clio, among others.
A third new and exciting division will be announced shortly, in partnership with a prestigious automotive manufacturer.
These measures are designed to consolidate the growth of Supercars Endurance - the umbrella name encompassing Iberian Supercars, the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade, and the Supercars España - enhance the quality of track time available to drivers and teams, and elevate the overall spectacle for fans, reinforcing the championship’s position as one of the leading motorsport platforms in Iberia.
