The Jerez de la Frontera race weekend, set to take place from 31 October to 2 November, will feature separate starting grids for the GT4 category and the Touring cars and GTC categories, replicating the successful format employed during the season opener at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.
Despite the event being more than two months away, the strong level of team and driver entries in the Supercars Endurance series and its affiliated championships – Iberian Supercars, Supercars España, and the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade – combined with the programme opportunities offered by the Jerez Iberian Racing Festival, will once again enable Race Ready, the organising body, to field two distinct and fully competitive grids.

The GT4 grid will include the GT4 Pro, GT4 Pro-Bronze, GT4 Bronze, and GT4 Am divisions, while the GTX and Cup divisions in the GTC category, together with TCR and TC in the Touring Cars category, will run their own separate 50-minute races at the Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto.
As seen in the Portimão round, this separation will ensure balanced and competitive races, highlighting each category individually and enhancing spectator interest. The organisers again expect fully populated grids, with more than two dozen cars in each, confirming the vitality of the championships.

Like Portimão, the Andalusian round will count towards all three championships and promises decisive moments in the title fights at a crucial stage of the season, potentially even deciding the crowns in the Spanish championship.
For Diogo Ferrão, CEO of Race Ready: “The expected number of entries will allow us to split the grids as we did in Portimão, but this will only be possible because we have a schedule that allows four races instead of two. At this stage, the number of entries is likely to exceed the maximum allowed by the regulations, and with the available timetable we will proceed, given the very positive feedback we had in Algarve. I am confident that we will see great racing again in Jerez.”
Meanwhile, on 13–14 September, the calendar takes teams and drivers to the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia for another round of the Iberian Supercars and Supercars España seasons, ahead of the trip to the Spanish circuit at Jerez de la Frontera.
