André and Miguel Nabais will take part in the Supercars Endurance, which starts next weekend, at the wheel of a Speedy Motorsport-run Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
The brothers will make their car racing debut in 2023, after some experience in karting, having chosen the most important competition in the Iberian Peninsula.
The two youngsters decided to take the leap into motorsport because of a challenge from a well-known Portuguese motorsport figure. "We raced karts with Portuguese racer Francisco Abreu and he challenged us to take part in the Supercars Endurance," says Miguel Nabais, who adds: "We had the opportunity to race this Porsche, assisted by Speedy Motorsports, and we grabbed it with both hands."
Being their debut season in motorsport, the two brothers are aware that they have a lot to learn, but show their desire to achieve good performances.
"We have always competed in karting, so GT racing is a new world for us, a big challenge. Of course we always want to win, that's our matrix, but we know that everything is different here. We are going to work and learn as much as possible to achieve good results in our category, the GTC, and for that it is very beneficial to have Pedro Salvador in the team," added André Nabais.
