The Circuito de Jerez Ángel Nieto will be the stage for all the Supercars España decisions, and battles for the GT crowns will be intense across all divisions, promising high-octane action throughout the weekend.

The Supercars Endurance series (encompassing the Iberian Supercars, the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade, and Supercars España) reaches its first major decision point, with the Spanish competition crowns up for grabs. With 54 points still available, numerous drivers could be celebrating by the end of the Andalusian weekend, both in the divisions (GT4 Pro, GT4 Pro-Bronze, GT4 Bronze, and GT4 Am) and in the overall GT category.

GT Category: Racar Duo Starts with the Advantage, but…

Roberto Faria and Mathieu Martins lead with 102 points in the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4. The Racar Motorsport pairing has made consistency their greatest asset, but their win at Jarama has put them in an excellent position to secure their first crown.

However, Nerea Martí and José de los Milagros, with two victories already this season, are 28 points behind in the BMW M4 GT4 (G82) of BMW Motorsport España; if they continue their recent good form in Jerez, they could put the leaders under pressure.

Not far from the Spanish duo is Francisco Mora and Francisco Abreu, who have 71 points in the Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2. The Portuguese drivers for Toyota Gazoo Racing Caetano Portugal have also tasted victory and remain within reach of the leaders with a strong weekend in Jerez.

The arithmetic is simple: the top three enter a head-to-head battle, but the Racar Motorsport duo starts with the advantage.

GT4 Pro – Wide Open

The GT4 Pro showcases this year’s high-level competition. Faria and Martins also lead here with 105 points, arriving at the final with a slight advantage, but one that cannot make them complacent.

Mora and Abreu are 9 points behind (96); they rely solely on themselves and could turn the tables with a positive weekend. Martí and de los Milagros sit on 88 points, and their recent upward form puts them in a position to secure the Spanish crown this season.

Just below them are Tomás Guedes and José Carlos Pires (Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 for Speedy Motorsport), entering Jerez with 75 points, and César Machado (Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 for Speedy Motorsport), with 74 points, who won the first race of the season in Portimão alongside Rafael Lobato. They will need flawless performance and mistakes from the top three to enter the title contention.

GT4 Pro Bronze D– Decisions in the Details

The title is open with the smallest margins. Guillermo Aso and Filip Vava (Mercedes-AMG GT4 for NM Racing Team) lead with 107 points, with two wins – one in Portimão and another in Jarama – putting them ahead going into Jerez. However, just 2 points behind, following their victory in Valencia, Nuno Afonso and Alexandre Areia (Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 for Gianfranco Motorsport) have 105 points and maintain intense pressure.

Orlando Batina (Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 for Batina Racing) is also in the title fight, just 5 points from the top (102), buoyed by a podium and a win in Valencia alongside Sérgio Azevedo.

Further back, Bruno Pires and Mark Kastelic (Mercedes-AMG GT4 for Lema Racing) have 73 points, also with a win, but the Slovenian team duo will need a perfect weekend and misfortune for the top three to have any chance of claiming the title.

GT4 Bronze – Intense Duel

In his first full season in the championship, Ricardo Costa (Mercedes-AMG GT4 for NM Racing Team) leads with 108 points, despite having multiple teammates. His two wins at Jarama gave him an edge, but he cannot relax.

Vasco Oliveira and Francisco Carvalho (Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 EVO for Racar Motorsport) are strong contenders, just 11 points behind (97), mounting an intense pursuit of the German driver.

In a second ring of pressure are André Nabais and Miguel Nabais (Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 for Gianfranco Motorsport) with 68 points, and Andrius Zemaitis (Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 for Nokotech Racing by Speedy) with 63. The Lithuanian driver stood out in Valencia with a young teammate, Karel Staut, but did not score for this division; instead, he scored in GT4 Pro-Bronze.

GT4 Am – Iberian Showdown

GT4 Am arrives at the 4.428 km Spanish circuit as a declared duel. Andorra’s Smörg and Spain’s Javier Macías (BMW M4 GT4 EVO for Promotion Motorsport) lead with 116 points, backed by two wins at Jarama, giving them a narrow cushion.

Fifteen points behind, Portuguese duo Rúben Vaquinhas and Pedro Bastos Rezende (Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 for Gianfranco Motorsport) have 101 points, including three wins, posing a real threat, especially if they maintain the high form they have shown. This division adds yet another layer of intrigue to the Andalusian event.

Teams’ Standings – Three Armadas, One Battle

Racar Motorsport leads the teams’ standings with 155 points, supported by the strength of their driver pairings – teams with more than two cars must nominate two cars to score points in this ranking. Consistency throughout the season, marked by a victory and regular podiums, has allowed them to take the collective lead, bolstered by the second car’s steady performance.

The chase is led by Speedy Motorsport, with 137 points, still within striking distance of the top, and NM Racing Team, with 121 points. Both need a perfect Sunday to recover ground, but they have the speed and previous wins to push the title battle to the final flag at the “catedral del motor.”
