“Supercars in Jarama”: Exciting race weekend at Madrid on May 14/15

On the weekend of May 14 and 15 at the Jarama circuit in Madrid, the atmosphere of other times will be revived, with an exciting racing programme that includes the Iberian Supercars Endurance by Hankook, which will also score points for the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade (CPV), the Carrera los 80, the Group 1 Portugal, as well as the Super 7 Toyo Tires one-make cup.

The entertainment will not only take place on the track, since the Paddock will also be an attraction for the public, since in addition to several merchandising stores, you will have the possibility of living Slide and Karting experiences. Lastly, it will feature the 1st edition of the Supercar Festival, a large concentration of road going supercars. Participants will have the opportunity to take a few laps on the track in safe conditions with their dream cars.

The so-called Carrera los 80´s corresponds to the continuation of the Iberian Historic Endurance race series, but aimed at cars from the 1980s and early 1990s, providing gentleman drivers with a good argument to get their relics out of the garage. Cars such as the Volvo 240 Turbo, BMW M3 Group A or the always efficient Porsche 911 or 968 are expected in the grid.

The Group 1 races, together with the Mini Trophy, will also be captivating the spectators imagination as they recreate the competitions of the 1970s which provided lively battles starring the drivers of the Datsun 1200, VW Golf GTi, Ford Escort or of course the little Minis.

The Super 7 Toyo Tires' Caterhams will be another of the weekend's attractions at the circuit on the outskirts of Madrid, as no less than 40 cars will be on the track, divided into two models, discussing every meter of asphalt...

However, the animation will also go through the Paddock, since the organization of the event decided to promote the "Festival Supercars", a concentration of supercars open to clubs or owners of this type of vehicle. And those who pre-register on the supercarfestival.org website will be able to park their car in the Paddock in a privileged place and still take a few laps of the track.

It is now possible to buy tickets for Sunday (15), via supercarfestival.org website or at https://www.jarama.org/
