Smörg and Francisco Javier Macías will return to Supercars Endurance series in 2026, maintaining their focus on Iberian Supercars and the Campeonato de España de Supercars, at the wheel of a BMW M4 GT4 EVO run by Promotion Motorsport.
The continuation of the partnership between Smörg and Francisco Javier Macías stands as one of the cornerstones of this programme, following several consistent performances in recent seasons, culminating in the runners-up spot in the GT4 AM class in both the Iberian and Spanish championships. The duo therefore heads into the new season with strengthened ambitions, aiming to convert their proven consistency into decisive results in the title fight.
After the winter break, the Andorran driver highlighted the work carried out away from the track as the foundation for a stronger start to the campaign. Smörg underlined renewed motivation and thorough preparation to tackle what remains one of the most demanding championships in the GT4 landscape.

“We’re highly motivated for the start of the 2026 season. We’re eager to get back behind the wheel of our BMW M4 GT4 EVO. Despite being away from the track over the winter, we’ve worked across all areas to arrive better prepared than ever for the opening rounds of Iberian Supercars and the Campeonato de España de Supercars”, Smörg said.
The ambition is clear and based on a critical assessment of last season, where the title slipped away by a narrow margin. The driver acknowledged that small details made the difference and believes the work done will allow them to take the necessary step forward.
“We’re not satisfied with the runners-up finishes we achieved last year. The title slipped through our fingers due to an incident that prevented us from finishing the race in Jerez, and it’s precisely those small details we’ve focused on to be more competitive this season”, he added.
The 2026 Supercars Endurance season gets underway on 15–17 May at the Algarve International Circuit, as part of the Algarve Iberian Racing Festival, which hosts the opening round of the Iberian Supercars, Campeonato de España de Supercars and the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade.
